Café Hillel: Monthly Israeli Dancing on the UC Berkeley Campus
Initiated in Spring 2010 by Aaron Alpert, we host a monthly Israeli Dance Evening at UC Berkeley. The event is open to the community. The DeCal instructors will teach and program for the evening. If you are planning on coming, you should definitely sign up on our Facebook event page!
Information
When?
The first session of the semester will be on
Subsequent dates and times will be announced, but we are planning for 2 more this semester, in addition to our Marathon.
Where?
The event will take place in the Auditorium of the UC Berkeley Hillel building. We have a spring wood floor, high quality audio equipment, and a comfortable lounge. Hillel is located at 2736 Bancroft Way, Berkeley, CA 94704. Here is a link to a Google map, which is pictured below.
How Much?
The proceeds go to putting on more dance events, such as our Marathon.
- General admission— $5
- UC Berkeley students and children under 12— Free
Parking
Parking around Berkeley can be a bit of an adventure. On Sundays, street parking is free, but hard to find. If you are willing to park farther away, street parking is available in the residential areas. However, if you prefer a paid parking garage, there are three options available.
- Kroeber Lot (maintained by the university), entrance on Bancroft, between College and Bowditch
- Underhill Lot (maintained by the university), entrance on Channing, right across from Unit 1 dorms
- Telegraph/Channing Garage (maintained by the city), enter on Durant or Channing, to the west of Telegraph, lot closes and locks at 10 P.M.
